The basic premise behind Tracy’s classes is that the ability to draw doesn’t depend on an innate ability that only a few possess, but instead is something that anyone can learn with practice in seeing things a little differently. After learning just a few basic exercises, participants notice an increased ability to draw, as well as a heightened awareness of the visual world.
Tracy offers three levels of “Drawing: The Right Approach”; Level One for is for total beginners (though all experience welcome), Level Two will expand on skills learned in the first session and Level Three will offer a continuous mix of subject matter and lessons for continued practise.

Host: Tracy Kobus

Tracy creates acrylic paintings in her studio in the Comox Valley, near the Puntledge River. She has also worked as a professional artist and drawing teacher for the past 20 years (the last five years was at the Lupine Art Studio in Courtenay). Her artwork is exhibited in many gift shops and galleries – she also has a successful online shop. Tracy is an encouraging, knowledgeable and thoughtful instructor who believes that art is an essential ingredient towards inner growth and self knowledge.
Besides painting, Tracy enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, backpacking, gardening and reading. Tracy also writes a blog where she further reflects on her artistic process and shares her connection to the outdoors.
