About the College

Certified Clinical Hypnotherapy Training on Vancouver Island, BC

The Canadian College of Advanced Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy offers online professional hypnosis and hypnotherapy training. Our graduates are certified through the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.

Our Program

Our online program is based on the in-person training that was successfully delivered since 2013 in Courtenay, BC. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the program was redesigned for online delivery. This online program not only includes the concepts, skills, and practical components of the original training, but also incorporates life coaching tools and techniques that enhance self- awareness and support clients’ goals.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is robust and designed to meet performance-based learning outcomes and objectives. Information is contextualized through use of examples, and theory is linked to practice using targeted exercises, assignments, and practical application. Assessment methods and criteria are clearly outlined, fair, and well thought out; clear and specific feedback is provided to students to assist in their progress. Students are given adequate time to complete their online study and practicum commitments. The courses are progressive, building one upon the other on a solid knowledge base. All courses are clearly and consistently organized promoting reader accessibility and usability.

Our Goals

Our program is designed to ensure all students exceed the expectations in the standards set out by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA). The goal of the training is for learners to fully integrate the use of hypnosis so they can develop safe and therapeutic skills as clinical hypnotherapists.
